Connect to the Cornish coast
Best known for her acting career and role as a TV personality, Caroline Quentin holds a deep love for Cornwall. With its golden beaches, fresh seafood and idyllic walks along coast and countryside, it’s no wonder why.
An inspirational travel documentary
Aired between 2012 and 2013, Caroline’s travel documentary series championed community, relaxation and exploration. With close affiliations to Penryn’s mental-health charity Sea Sanctuary, Caroline believes that being by the sea is essential to soothing the mind, body and soul. After all, what better place to find a state of serenity than the beautiful backdrop of Cornwall.
From picturesque villages and quaint harbours to vibrant towns and the characters within, Caroline spends the summer season uncovering what makes Cornwall so magical, and why locals and visitors alike love it so much.
A Cornish paradise
During her travels far and wide, Caroline visited the iconic St Michaels Mount, along with Port Isaac - a place she also became acquainted with during her cameo in the eighth season of Doc Martin as Angela Sim. With fond memories of the grand Elizabethan manor Prideaux Place in Padstow, Caroline recalls the way in which the deer parks and vast views across the Camel Estuary makes it a haven for nature-lovers.
In fact, Caroline fell in love with the county so much that she decided to set up a base there, perfect for calming retreats to the sea for capturing a moment of quiet. A coastal dream along the Helford River estuary, she and her husband indulge in boating, birdwatching and endless exploring.
