In the heart of St Ives, Island car park is sandwiched between Porthgwidden and Porthmeor, so it's perfect for those looking to spend a day on the beach. Prices are determined by the on or off-peak season, starting from £3.20 for up to two hours.
Park Avenue car park
Location: Park Avenue, St Ives, Cornwall, UK, TR26 2DN
Spaces: 77
Located a short distance from the centre, this long-stay car park is pay-and-display. You can purchase a ticket using cash, a card, or the Just Park app.
Accessibility notes: Blue badge holders paying a parking fee automatically get one extra hour of free parking. For example, if you correctly display a blue badge and pay for two hours, you can park for three hours.
Station car park
Location: Station, St Ives, Cornwall, UK, TR26 2BH
Spaces: 106
Sat just above Porthminster Beach, Station car park is open 24 hours a day, all year round and it's a five to ten minute walk into the centre of town.
Accessibility notes: All blue badge holders must display a valid blue badge with a time clock set at arrival time. Blue badge holders must pay the normal parking fee unless the vehicle is registered under Cornwall Council's exemption scheme.
Trenwith car park
Location: Trenwith, St Ives, Cornwall, UK, TR26 1DD
Spaces: 311 in the winter and 759 in the summer
Trenwith car park is the largest in St Ives, located at the top of a steep hill above St Ives Brewery. If you don't fancy the walk into town, a shuttle bus service operates until 11pm during the summer. The car park costs £6.80 for three to four hours and £10.50 if you want to spend the whole day.
Barnoon long stay car park
Location: Barnoon, St Ives, Cornwall, UK, TR26 1JD
Spaces: 124
Barnoon car park in St Ives sits close to Tate St Ives, so it's perfect for those looking to visit the gallery. Slightly sloped, it has a set of steep steps leading down to the gallery. While Barnoon is advertised as a long-stay car park, you can park your car here for as little as an hour, although it is a little more expensive than the other options.
Sloop car park
Location: Fish Street, St Ives, Cornwall, UK, TR26 1LT
Spaces: 42
This short-stay car park in St Ives is ideally located and has 42 spaces available. The maximum duration for parking is three hours, and there is no return allowed within that three-hour period. However, after 6pm, the car park offers long-stay parking and is open 24 hours a day.
Alternatively, for out-of-town parking in St Ives, there is St Ives Rugby Club (TR26 1ER) with a bus shuttle service or a 15-20 minute walk into town. Buses cost £1.50, and the car park costs £7 for the day.
