Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical phenomenon, Hamilton, arrives in Plymouth on its debut UK tour in 2025. Its six-week season at Theatre Royal Plymouth runs from July to September, where the cast and crew will bring modern hip-hop and Broadway show tunes to the South West. It comes after a sellout season at Manchester’s Palace Theatre in 2023, with performances also taking place in Bristol, Cardiff and Edinburgh, among others.

Set in the 1700s, the show tells the story of America’s founding fathers, following West Indies immigrant Alexander Hamilton through the Revolutionary War. With the original stage show having won seven Olivier Awards, 11 Tony Awards and the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album, the Hamilton UK tour is not to be missed and tickets will sell fast. Musical masterpieces include Satisfied, The Room Where it Happens and My Shot.

If an all-female cast, catchy pop performances and killer Tudor-inspired outfits are what you’re looking for, book to see SIX The Musical from 4th September at Theatre Royal Plymouth.

High energy from start to finish, the show’s format is a competition-turned-pop-concert, where the audience meet each of Henry VIII’s wives and hear their trials and tribulations from 400 years ago. Each Tudor queen takes inspiration from the pop icons of today – likening Catherine of Aragon’s opening number with modern day Beyonce hits, and comparing Jane Seymour with Sia and Adele. Even “Anna” of Cleves and Nicki Minaj cross paths in a musical that’s slick, sassy, and best seen to be believed.

With its Gold-Disk winning album, plus Tony Awards for both Best Costume Design and Best Original Score, SIX will be loved by those aged 10 and over.
