Some of Cornwall’s most beautiful weddings have been held at Lusty Glaze. It was voted the UK’s Best Coastal Wedding Venue in 2019 and has picked up awards from Hitch and Muddy Stilettos in recent years.
From the private sandy beach near Newquay, the team here welcome everything from exclusive family-friendly parties for 100 guests, to intimate elopements with just four of your nearest and dearest. Depending on the season, couples can marry in the Lounge, on the Top Deck, or in the Beach Marquee, where blue seas provide a stunning backdrop.
As well as the usual linen, tableware, heating and lighting that’s provided, venue hire for 2024 to 2026 also includes full set-up and take down of venue decorations and a Wedding Coordinator until your first dance.
When dinner is served, build your own beach menu for £50 per guest and weave some spectacular Cornish flavours into your day – think Cornish mackerel and hake, farmhouse sausages, smoked beef brisket and local ice cream.
Tredudwell Manor

An 18th century manor house set in Lanteglos, just outside of Fowey, Tredudwell promises private and picturesque weddings for up to 220 guests. It's a staple of Cornwall wedding venues and welcomes four-legged friends.
Say “I do” under oak beams in the Wedding Barn or host an outdoor ceremony beneath the Garden Temple. Those who favour a church ceremony will find the 11th century St Willow Church just five minutes away – perfect for making a grand entrance back at the reception.
The Pavillion is flooded with natural light thanks to its 15-metre bi-fold windows, and is fully customisable on the big day, meaning each and every Tredudwell wedding is truly unique. Beach-lovers needn’t worry either – the venue sits within easy reach of nearby coves so couples can make a break for the coast with their photographer.
Carbis Bay Hotel

Another Cornwall beach venue but not one for indecisive couples, there’s an incredible range of 12 licenced ceremony areas at the Carbis Bay Estate. Whether you tie the knot in the outdoor spa garden pavilion, the quirky Gannet Inn, the intimate Godrevy Room or on the white sands that surround the Wedding Hut, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Available as part of the Ocean Venue, foodies will love the chance to marry in front of turquoise waters from Ugly Butterfly.
Known for its incredible food, canapes include seared scallops with thermidor sauce, roast lamb on a spring onion mash, and battered mushroom risotto balls. Three course wedding breakfasts with coffee and petit fours are priced at £85 per guest, with sharing platters from £75.
Boconnion

Set within a sprawling 150-acre Saxon estate, Boconnion is one of our favourite wedding venues in Cornwall. After having recently been refurbished, it’s perfect for couples planning beautiful, laid back celebrations.
The Barton Barn overlooks endless countryside and can welcome up to 250 guests across two floors. Host your ceremony and wedding breakfast with 90 guests on the top floor before the party unravels downstairs – fairy lights and candles see the space truly transform by night.
Outside, there’s a fire pit, a tennis court, a heated outdoor pool and a wood-fired Swedish hot tub, meaning plenty to keep guests entertained.

Think of barn weddings in Cornwall and you'd be hard-pressed to forget this venue. Our list wouldn’t be complete without Nancarrow Farm. From its off-the-beaten-track location in St Allen near Truro, it’s been operating as a family farm since 1782 and hosting weddings for over 10 years.
The Rusty Barn is Nancarrow’s ceremony space, with its exposed beams and rustic interior. Being a blank canvas, it’s a great opportunity for creative couples to showcase their personalities through show-stopping florals and riots of colour.
When it’s time to eat, guests can gather in the Old Mill Barn for communal feasting over trestle tables, or socialise in the courtyard with champagne and canapes in hand. Think home-reared organic beef and lamb, fresh salads, roasted vegetables and chocolate desserts.
Trevenna
Location: St Neot, North Cornwall

Set amongst acres of rolling Cornish countryside, Trevenna offers indoor and outdoor ceremonies from its collection of lovingly restored historic barns on Bodmin Moor. A family-run venue that opened in 2006, you’ll find flower-lined meadows and walled gardens waiting around every corner.
Summer ceremonies are commonly held outdoors on the Arbor Lawn, before guests make their way into the light-flooded Garden Venue for extravagant home-cooked feasts. Trevenna offer sharing platters served to the table, as well as plated three-course meals, depending on your wedding style.
New for 2024, the Mowhay Bar offers couples an additional space for their ceremony or reception – complete with a wood-fired pizza oven for evening snacks and a well-stocked bar for celebration cocktails.
Each Trevenna couple is assigned a Wedding Coordinator to make the day run smoothly, and the “Just Bring the Dress” package comes highly recommended for those hoping to get organised quickly – your flowers, cake and photographer are all taken care of.
Stennack Farm

One of the newer places to get married in Cornwall, you’ll find Stennack Farm just outside of Hayle on the west coast. Three beautiful ceremony spaces are on offer here, where large weddings welcome up to 150 guests, and small-scale celebrations feature just 20. Choose from the Wedding Barn, or one of two lawns for outdoor ceremonies.
The atmosphere at Stennack is one of rustic romance – walls are wood-clad and left bare for endless decorating possibilities, and the lawns are green and luscious, ready for croquet and games.
The shepherd’s hut bridal suite promises a true Cornish experience, framed by rolling valley views, while a fully staffed bar, large catering workspace and long trestle tables make sociable dining a breeze.
Fowey Hall Hotel

Those envisioning a sea-view manor house for their wedding need look no further. Fowey Hall Hotel on Cornwall’s south coast provides an elegant blend of classic and coastal styles, sitting high above the ocean. The venue was refurbished in 2023 to give it a luxurious spa, an outdoor pool and hot tub, plus a gorgeous bridal suite.
There are a number of spaces where ceremonies can be held, with most couples opting for the Garden Room which seats 120 guests. When it’s time to entertain, turn to the cinema room for photographic slideshows, the games room for friendly competition, or the suntrap terrace for celebration drinks and the all-important confetti moment.
The building is Grade II listed, dog-friendly weddings are welcomed, and the wedding team’s attention to detail is second to none.
Scorrier House

Treseren is a must-visit if an intimate wedding is what you’re dreaming of – it’s one of the best small wedding venues in Cornwall. Having already won two awards in 2024 (the National and South West Historic Wedding Venue of the Year), its secret gardens, chef-prepared food and Loveday’s cocktail bar welcome up to 22 guests.
Each Treseren wedding includes an in-house planning and coordination service, and access to the stunning country house set just outside of Newquay. Bursting with camellias and rhododendrons, the garden lends itself to summertime weddings just as beautifully as it does winter elopements, where candles are lit around the fire.
Knightor Winery

This south coast vineyard sits 10 minutes from Carlyon Bay and promises a truly unique marriage in Cornwall. Winning “Best Wedding Venue Cornwall 2023” in the Simply Wedding Awards, Knightor has four acres of orchards to host rustic-luxe celebrations.
Couples can welcome 90 day guests and up to 150 evening guests, with elopements and vow renewals available to book alongside traditional ceremonies. Marry in the 18th century granite barn or beneath the romantic arbour, surrounded by wildflowers and greenery.
Whether you opt for a plated three course wedding breakfast from the “Carpe Diem” menu, or prefer a more laid back meal with a buffet or hog roast, beautiful dishes are prepared inside the winery kitchen. Think mackerel ceviche canapes, pork and brandy terrine starters, lobster and Cornish Yarg mains, and crème brûlée desserts.
After a reception well spent getting to know Knightor’s incredible range of red, white, rose and sparkling wines, end your night with sparklers and sweet treats from the s’mores bar.
Polurrian on the Lizard

Say “I do” above the ocean at one of Cornwall’s most south-westerly wedding venues. 12 acres of clifftop gardens lend themselves to breath-taking celebrations for up to 90 day guests.
Thanks to Polurrian’s 2019 renovation, there are lots of options for your ceremony space – from the Vista Lounge with its double-height windows and panoramic sea views, to the Cove View Suite which has gorgeous interiors. If an intimate service is on the cards for autumn or winter weddings, opt for the Marconi room – it seats 60 and has a feature fireplace that looks even more magical doused in candlelight. For outside ceremonies, treat your guests to far-reaching views over the Atlantic, stretching across to St Michael’s Mount and Marazion.
Polurrian offer both exclusive and non-exclusive packages so couples can make the day their own. Wedding breakfasts are best enjoyed over trestle tables in the hotel restaurant, or if you’d prefer it to be just the two of you, the “Never Let Me Go” package could be tempting. It includes a three-course meal and a bottle of champagne, plus two members of the Polurrian team as your witnesses.
Talland Bay Hotel

Another of our favourite places to get married in Cornwall, you’ll find Talland Bay Hotel not far from Looe, Downderry and Polperro. The venue offers sensational views over the south coast and their double AA Rosette wedding food promises to impress.
Three carefully curated wedding packages – Diamond, Emerald and Ruby – offer couples flexibility with their reception drinks, wedding breakfast and evening entertainment. Plan one-to-one meetings with the weddings team, and once you’ve booked, enjoy an afternoon tea for two to mark the countdown to the big day, complete with gin, prosecco or champagne.
Boconnoc

Georgian elegance, secluded gardens and extensive parkland await at Boconoc. Accommodating 100 wedding day guests or up to 240 with a marquee extension, this venue is best suited to large-scale get-togethers. You’ll find it just west of Lostwithiel and a 25-minute drive from Fowey.
For couples who want to start the party early, the Stable Yard is perfect for pre-wedding celebrations, while the 800-year-old church lends itself to the all-important nuptials. The venue is dog-friendly and there are miles of woodland paths to explore is four-legged friends grow restless.
What we love about Boconoc is that their team are always on-hand with supplier recommendations, to help you find talented local suppliers, like Beautiful and the Feast, Dish Cornwall and White Radish, who all offer stunning food and wine. From hair and make-up to flowers and videography, Boconoc’s knowledge of the Cornwall wedding scene is vast.
Pentillie Castle

Cornwall weddings don’t get much more magical than a castle by the sea, so rounding off our list is Pentillie. Built in 1698 and commanding beautiful views over the River Tamar, weddings here start with just 22 guests.
Choose a riverside ceremony in the Victorian Bathing Hut, tie the knot under the cover of the wisteria-clad Pavillion where guests are seated on The Old Tennis Lawn, invite your nearest and dearest to the Lime Avenue, or embrace the castle grounds at the loggia – seating up to 120.
When food is served, some couples opt for wood-fired pizzas while others have their heart set on Pentillie’s Michelin-star chef – the venue prides itself on having “no prescribed formula”.
