With bold feature tiles, polished concrete worktops and sawn oak fittings, this trendy space is a unique haven to cook and dine. Featuring a Neff induction hob, built-in oven and microwave and a Franke boiling water tap, cooking up a romantic meal for two has never been easier. Prepare a delicious supper as the SONOS sound system fills the space with a playlist of your choice and leave the Neff dishwasher to take care of the washing up.
Come morning, wander through from the bedroom well-rested and sleepy-eyed, to prepare breakfast from the Dualit four berth toaster and Nespresso coffee machine, before taking to the table for two as you watch the world wake up outside. There’s also a cleverly concealed washing machine and tumble dryer.
Please note: guests with pacemakers should avoid using the induction hob as this can interfere with the device.
Embrace the romance of this secluded hideaway and cosy up in the open plan lounge overlooking the garden. Tastefully designed in inky blues and rustic woods, this space is graced by a crackling Hwam wood burner for toasty evenings in. A Scandi inspired coffee table, striking suede chair and soft Aztec rug transform the lounge into a veritable den for rest and relaxation.

Outdoor pursuits
Running through Rock, the South West Coast Path is the perfect way to explore North Cornwall’s rugged coastline. Follow the path to Daymer Bay and enjoy breathtaking views from Brea Hill or continue onto Pentire Point and Polzeath if you’re feeling energetic. The scenic Camel Trail starts across the estuary in Padstow and is fantastic for family-friendly cycle rides. The renowned St Enodoc Golf Club is in the heart of Rock, and Trevose, Bowood and St Kew Golf Clubs are all within a 35 minute drive.
Activities for children
Other than the many gorgeous beaches nearby, there are plenty of alternatives for children to enjoy. The Camel Creek Adventure Park and Dairyland Farm World are perfect for the little ones to meet and feed the animals before running around in the indoor play area to let off some steam. Younger children will relish rainy days spent at the charming Macdonald’s Farm near Porthcothan. And for history enthusiasts, we’d recommend a day trip to the mythical Tintagel Castle, which is about 35 minutes away by car.
Beaches and watersports
The dog friendly Rock Beach runs alongside the Camel Estuary and has stunning views across Padstow. Just around the coastal path is the beautiful Daymer Bay and the popular surfing beach of Polzeath is also just a short drive away. Rock is a haven for sailing, stand up paddle boarding and kayaking, and adrenaline junkies will love coasteering with Cornish Rock Tors. Polzeath and Harlyn Bay have a range of fantastic surf schools for lessons and equipment hire, suitable for all abilities.
Food and drink
An unforgettable destination for foodies, Rock is home to Four Boys Cafe, The Pityme Inn and The Dining Room. Just down the road, The Mariners run by Paul Ainsworth is also highly recommended for a delicious bite to eat or laid back drink. Alternatively, hop on the water taxi to Padstow to sample the delights of Paul Ainsworth at Number 6, Caffè Rojano and the iconic Rick Stein’s. The Cornish Wine Tours experience also starts in Padstow, and there’s no better way to discover Cornwall’s award-winning vineyards or sample some fine wines.
Time for pampering
Just a short drive from Rock is the rustic-luxe Cowshed Spa at the St Moritz Hotel. The ultimate space to relax and unwind, opt for a quick beauty fix or an indulgent full or half day package. Put your feet up, enjoy a glass of champagne and let yourself be pampered. The St Enodoc Spa in the heart of Rock is a great alternative option for holiday down time, with a range of restorative treatments on offer. Let your skin reap the benefits of the natural and organic skincare range, before leaving feeling completely refreshed and renewed.
Festivals and events
Taking place at Roskear Farm near Wadebridge, the Rock Oyster Festival is one of North Cornwall’s most popular events. Usually held in July each year, it’s a wonderful celebration of artisan food, music and art. Just across the estuary, Padstow’s annual Christmas Festival is the perfect way to kick off the festive season. Held at the beginning of December, the popular fishing village comes alive with cooking demonstrations, local produce and a Santa fun run.

A perfect place to celebrate our birthdays and anniversary. The Nook is perfect for a relaxing and romantic stay. There are gorgeous walks over the fields from the house and Daymer Bay over the hill into Rock. We hope to be back.
”We very much enjoyed our recent stay at The Nook. As always, everything was well presented and our hosts were as charming and helpful as ever. We have already booked for the same week next year.
”Great home in a lovely location. We've enjoyed it so much in the past and this year was the fourth year we've used Perfect Stays to book our holiday!
”Easy to organise. Exceptional customer service and made to feel very much welcome both at the accommodation and by the company if anything was needed. Even checking in to see how all was going mid week - a lesson to many companies I feel in how to provide a feeling of care.
”The property was absolutely amazing and located within easy reach of a number of locations that are well worth a visit, including Lands End and Bodmin Jail.
Perfect Stays called to make sure that we were happy with the property and to remind us they were just a phone call away to help us. I would recommend booking a holiday with Perfect Stays to everyone.
”This was our third stay here at The Nook, and we really enjoyed this cosy home-from-home as well as riding and walking around Cornwall's stunning countryside and dramatic coastline. We also loved eating in the lovely restaurants in and around the area, including Paul Ainsworth's in Padstow. Here's to our fourth stay!
”We have had a wonderful week at The Nook. Well done Angus and Gemma for creating such a beautiful home from home. First time in Cornwall but will not be our last - we'll be back! Thank you.
”We booked our mini-moon in The Nook, hosted by Perfect Stays. The property was stunning and the welcome pack was amazing. Wendy at Perfect Stays was a delight to work with and made everything really easy before, during and after our stay. Will be using Perfect Stays again on our next trip to Cornwall.
”We loved our honeymoon here at The Nook. It had everything we could need and we enjoyed exploring the local area and restaurants too - especially Paul Ainsworth in Padstow. It was lovely to come back to such a cosy and welcoming place, very impressive use of space and we loved the decor and the 'hygge' feel of the place. Thank you for a lovely break - the hamper of supplies was much appreciated too!
”On arrival at The Nook, we were immediately surprised by how private it was. There's a nearby farm and the owners house, but you wouldn't know they were there. Apart from the occasional agitated cow there was very little disruption to the peace and quiet the property offers. The outside hot tub is always a welcome bonus. On entering the property, it was plain to see that the design and finishings were very professionally thought out and done. It has everything you would need and more to provide a home from home atmosphere. Although it's an inland property a five-minute drive into Rock provides you with everything you'll need. Including the best take away fish and chips we've ever had. I'd recommend The Nook to anyone wishing for a unique and quiet stay in Cornwall.
”Second time at the Nook near Rock in Cornwall. Fabulous cottage with extremely welcoming owners. So good that we've booked again for next year. Perfect Stays were also great, calling us to make sure that all was well.
”We had a really lovely stay at The Nook. The house is so cosy, the garden and hot tub are a real plus. The location is absolutely perfect! We will definitely be back!
”I planned a surprise long weekend for my fiance for her birthday to stay at The Nook in St. Minver. The service from Perfect Stays was first class and they helped me arrange a number of special events, such as a beautiful picnic from Dine With Iris that was set up when we arrived. We had a truly magical weekend, and I would highly recommend!
”We've had a great time staying in this beautiful place, the cleanliness is very good and I would very much recommend. This place has everything you would need, the decoration is really well done and everything is high quality, we'll definitely be coming back.
