More about theExterior
Greenhouse
In full bloom during the summer months, the greenhouse is awash with blossom, filling the garden with colour and catching heavenly floral scents on the breeze. With fresh fruit and vegetables growing inside, guests are welcome to help themselves to the season’s offerings, from zesty oranges to summertime courgettes.
Garden
From the neat lawned garden at the rear of the property, to the statement ornaments dotted throughout, there’s plenty to be explored by seasoned gardeners and curious younger adventurers alike. There's also a barbeque, two dining tables that seat up to 10 and four sun loungers, perfect for relaxing in the sunshine.
Large Pond
To the right of the garden there's a large ornamental pond. There's no screening or fencing around this pond, so young children will need to be supervised at all times.
Laundry Building
Located next to the greenhouse, the detached laundry building houses a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a pool table for an extra spot of garden entertainment.
Parking
The large gravel drive at the front of the property provides plenty of parking for up to six cars.
Please note: to ensure the gardens at Porth Enys House are kept looking beautiful for all of our guests, a gardener tends to the grounds every Wednesday and Friday.
More about theEstate
Estate
Enjoy a relaxed stroll through the pretty woodland surrounding the property, and venture down to watch the sea crash against the rocks at the bottom of the estate. Lined with wild flora and fauna, the circular walk loops back towards the entrance of the house and provides plenty of coastal lookout spots along the way.
The owners allow just a few local people to use the small parts of the land for various projects, including a small vineyard and vegetable garden, but you're unlikely to see them.
Please be aware that the tidal currents around the shoreline can become quite strong, and this area should only be explored by those with full mobility, and not by young children. The area is to be avoided unless the sea is flat, and the rocks are dry.

Porth Enys House was fabulous in a breathtaking location. We loved watching the boats pass by and we were entertained by the visiting birds. The garden was stunning and the house was everything we wanted internally. We loved the cinema, the conservatory, and the bedrooms were luxurious and comfortable. Our son enjoyed staying in The Lookout. A visit to St Michael's Mount was excellent and we enjoyed walking to Paul and having an excellent lunch in the pub.
”We stayed as a group of eight and really enjoyed having the space to do our own thing. I expected something special but this house was beyond my expectations. We fell in love with Porth Enys House and the gardens and we'll most definitely return in the future. Thank you.
”Porth Enys House is simply stunning; the house, views and magical gardens. Please go and stay to experience it for yourselves.
”Fantastic week! The weather was amazing, the house was absolutely gorgeous and what a view! We didn't want to leave. Thank you for a great holiday.
”A brilliant week had by all with the views of Porth Enys House making our week extra special.
”Booked a week through Perfect Stays at Porth Enys House. An amazing property with fantastic views - we just didn't want to leave. The staff at Perfect Stays were out of this world, they answered every query and were so helpful. Thank you for outstanding service and a stunning week in Cornwall.
”Just back from a weeks break at Porth Enys House Mousehole, a lovely house with beautifully kept gardens and amazing views of the bay from practically every room, couldn't wish for anything better. Would definitely use Perfect Stays again we found them to be very helpful and friendly, also Sam from Coastal Keeping was very helpful when we had a power cut sorting the problem quickly.
”The people at Perfect Stays were really efficient and helpful during the booking process (especially since we had to cancel earlier due to lockdown) and during our stay too - we couldn't ask for better. Porth Enys House suited us perfectly, the position is glorious with outstanding views from practically everywhere, the house has some age and has clearly been extended more than once which just added to its charm and quirkiness. One of the light circuits had failed when we arrived and we couldn't find the second distribution board, we contacted Perfect Stays who in turn instantly contacted their Property Management company, Coastal Keeping, who phoned straight back telling us which picture it was hidden behind so we were up and running in no time...but the service didn't end there, Sam from Coastal Keeping made follow-up phone calls to ensure everything was still fine and even turned up early on our departure day to check that we'd had no further problems - top class customer service. Our thanks go to both organisations for their contributions to our superb holiday.
”What an amazing stay at Porth Enys! The house was everything and more that we hoped for. Comfy beds, equipped with everything possible you would need, fantastic grounds and breath taking views! A week was just not long enough and we hope to return. Thank you for an amazing holiday!
”Amazing stay at Porth Enys. It was such a wonderful place that it was hard to leave, except maybe for a stroll down to Mousehole for a pasty and an ice cream. Incredible views out to sea as the sun rose and set each day!!
”We had the great pleasure of staying at Porth Enys house for a week. My only concern is that a week isn't long enough! I could have stayed there forever! House is beautiful and the views are the best I've seen anywhere. Even had the pleasure of watching pods of dolphins swim by and watched seals on the rocks. Would highly recommend.
”Perfect house for six adults and two small children. We all loved every day here - sun, rain, wind, it was all wonderful!
”Amazing views from every room. Lovely people. We all had an awesome time, it was wonderful! The house was well equipped with games for every night. A dream holiday.
”Wonderful surprise. Rarely does a property surpass the listing details but this did by a long way. Excellent base for a memorable stay!
”What a fantastic house and magnificent garden. Unforgettable holiday in a stunning location. Great days have been had here that will live forever in our memories. Just brilliant.
”We loved our stay at Porth Enys House. It accommodated eight of us perfectly and we had lovely weather and enjoyed the house and more importantly the gardens and the magnificent views!
There is something special about going to sleep with the moon shining through your bedroom window and waking up to the sunrise. Mousehole was sweet, we enjoyed the short walk down in to the village and along the coastal path behind the house to Lamorna. Best meal at 2 Fore Street, Mousehole. Thoroughly recommend.
