Overlooking patchwork fields and the sweeping Atlantic coastline, this beautiful property provides an abundance of space for groups to come together and drift apart as each day unfolds. From the outside, The Paddock is reminiscent of a New England style beach house, with its classic veranda, dormered roof and grey wooden cladding. Inside, the combination of muted tones, natural wood finishes and endless soft furnishings create a lovely homely feel.
Impressive in size, the open plan kitchen, living and dining area is the real social hub of the home. Throughout this space, intricate Parquet de Versailles designed floors exude a timeless style, while the floor-to-ceiling bi-fold doors frame spectacular coastal views. Pull them open and spend long afternoons watching youngsters play on the lawn and evenings soaking up the last of the sun on the terrace.
Draped in throws and furs, the living area radiates comfort and charm, with the wood burner on standby for stormy days and chilly nights. On laid back mornings, gather around the vast farmhouse style table with pots of tea, locally laid eggs and buttery soldiers.
Six beautifully finished bedrooms sleep 10 - 12 guests over two floors and offer spectacular views over coast and country. Sleek and spacious, the three en-suite bathrooms all feature luxurious walk-in showers, while the two family bathrooms invite long evening soaks.
Outside, a dedicated kitchen, Kamado barbeque and fire pit provide everything you need for al fresco dining, with a backdrop of rolling waves in the distance. Once dusk falls, head onto the veranda with glasses of red, or retreat to the garage-meets-games room for some friendly competition.
Within easy reach of Trebarwith Strand Beach, Tintagel and Port Isaac, a stay at The Paddock is well suited to adventurous family breaks and dog-friendly holidays (as recently featured in Coast Magazine). Pull on welly boots for woodland walks and discover the magical waterfalls at St Nectan’s Glen, or climb the picturesque coast path from Boscastle’s ancient harbour. Thrill-seekers will love afternoons on the water with Cornish Rock Tors in Port Gaverne, while keen foodies will look forward to dining at Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen - just a short drive away.

Trebarwith Strand
Beaches and watersports
The beautiful tidal beach of Trebarwith Strand is great for surfing or bodyboarding, although the waves are a bit peaky for beginners, so we’d recommend lessons with Trebarwith Surf School. During high tide, head to the nearby Polzeath Beach, Daymer Bay or Rock Beach, which are all family friendly and have a wide range of watersports on offer. Summerleaze Beach in Bude is also about 35 minutes away by car. There’s also nothing quite like kayaking or paddle boarding around Port Quinn, Port Isaac and Port Gaverne.
Outdoor pursuits
The South West Coast Path runs through Trebarwith Strand and leads to Tintagel in the north and Port Isaac in the south. Hire bikes in Wadebridge and join the scenic Camel Trail to the foodie hub of Padstow – with a range of baby buggy attachments and tandems, the whole family can join in. Stop off in Padstow for a quaint walk along the harbour, where you can soak up the views and enjoy a Cornish pasty or crab sandwich. Golfers are spoilt for choice with Bowood, St Enodoc and Bude Golf Clubs all within a 35 minute drive.
Food and drink
The Port William pub sits in the heart of Trebarwith Strand and serves hearty food and great local ales with a view. The Mill House Inn is another good option nearby and is just a short drive away. For incredible produce and tasty breakfasts and lunches, head to the Boscastle Farm Shop. Port Isaac is home to the Michelin-starred Outlaw's New Road, along with Chapel Café and Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen. There are also some laid back beachy options in Polzeath, including Surfside and TJ’s Surf Café.
Activities for children
There are plenty of alternatives to family beach days nearby including the Camel Creek Adventure Park and Dairyland Farm World, perfect for letting the little ones burn off some steam in the indoor play area. For history enthusiasts, we’d recommend a fun and educational day trip to the mythical Tintagel Castle, which is less than ten minutes away by car. The Museum of Witchcraft and Magic nearby in Boscastle is a quirky option if you have an hour or two of downtime on a rainy day, promising a unique day out for the whole family.
Time for pampering
Just above Polzeath is the rustic-luxe Cowshed Spa at the St Moritz Hotel. The ultimate space to relax and unwind, opt for a quick beauty fix or an indulgent full or half day package. Whatever you desire, you'll be sure to leave feeling relaxed and refreshed after a well deserved moment of pampering. The St Enodoc Spa in Rock is a great alternative option for a holiday treat, with a range of restorative treatments on offer. From specialist massages to relaxing manicures and pedicures, there's something for everyone.

Our family stayed at The Paddock over Easter and we had a wonderfully comfortable stay. We had elderly relatives with us who found the downstairs bedroom and absolute dream in regard to access and ease. The whole property is elegant and so well equipped. Then there is the view! It's just breath-taking and we could have sat there all day watching it. All in all, The Paddock is a wonderful home from home.
”We recently enjoyed a wonderful week at The Paddock. A wonderful property which is so comfortable and appointed to the highest quality and standards, we were so impressed. Spacious and comfortable and with the most stunning views of the coast. We had some elderly relatives with us with limited mobility and the en-suite downstairs was perfect for them, as they were able to join the rest of the family easily. We would most definitely return. Once again Perfect Stays provided us with first class service, information and communication, we have stayed in lots of the properties they manage and we cannot fault them.
”We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Paddock. What a beautiful house, we don't want to leave and will definitely plan on staying here again in the future. The Perfect Stays team have also been wonderful and so helpful.
”Truly amazing holiday home, very spacious and well equipped, even down to the children's games. The home was immaculate, and the large welcome hamper was a lovely touch. Already looking at booking our next Perfect Stays holiday. We left after a gorgeous week with so many special memories made!
”Our stay at The Paddock for a group of eight international travellers, was outstanding in every way. The house is brilliant - stunning views, spacious accommodation, luxurious décor and well equipped to the highest standard. The Paddock is a perfect base for visiting mid-Cornwall and we left reluctantly with fabulous memories. Perfect Stays were super helpful and made the whole process both easy and pleasant.
