We know our guests love a celebration, so we've gotten ahead with some early research to present the best places to spend New Year's Eve in Devon.

More details are to be announced by the venues later this year, but in the meantime, find inspiration for glittering galas and cocktails aplenty.

Dartmouth

Take to Dartmouth's narrow streets for a night of celebration and admire the skies as they light up with fireworks when the clock strikes midnight. Revellers dressed in a variety of creative costumes flock to the South Embankment awaiting the chime of church bells - it's a tradition not to be missed.

Plymouth

See in the New Year in style with a celebratory ball at Boringdon Hall near Plymouth, and enjoy an exquisite five-course menu. If last year's event is anything to go by, expect beautifully prepared seafood, paired with delicate wines and rounded off with a selection of sweet treats. Before the clock strikes midnight, celebrate live jazz before heading out onto the lawn for fireworks to finish the evening and welcome 2026.

For families, there's a free event at Plymouth's waterfront, complete with fairground rides, live music and food. Almost as popular as the city's British Firework Championships, the NYE spectacle does get fairly busy, so we'd recommend getting there early to secure a frontline spot.

Kingsbridge

Keep an ear to the ground for more details from The Old Warehouse in Kingsbridge. Last year, they hosted a laid back evening complete with a two-course burger dinner. With two sittings for 40 guests, families could dine early at 5pm and be home in time for pre-bedtime fireworks, while late-night revellers dined at 7:30pm and kept the champagne flowing. Live music and DJ sets continued long into the night, and tickets were priced between £12.50 and £40.

Clovelly

Ring in 2026 in one of Devon's most picturesque locations. We can't say for certain when 2025's event will be confirmed, but we're hopeful the Red Lion in Clovelly will open its doors for a NYE party, as it has in recent years. Look forward to the usual suspects like fancy dress and fireworks, as well as unique experiences like their thrilling murder mystery.

Honiton

Enjoy an evening of elegance at Deer Park in Honiton, South Devon. A beautiful country house, Deer Park is a truly spectacular location for a night of celebration – dress up, wander the gardens in candlelight and take to the dancefloor after supper. Come midnight, clink glasses as fireworks light up the night sky before retreating inside for coffee and chocolates in the lounge.

Bideford

For something intimate, The Royal Hotel’s grand Gala Dinner welcomes visitors to join the celebrations, with plenty of drinks, dancing and food. Promising a memorable and stylish night, this event is sure to bring the glitz and glamour of a fabulous New Year’s Eve.
