Exuding style and elegance, The Lookout’s open plan living area is the pinnacle of the property. With pastel sofas, a crackling wood burner and an expanse of glass doors, there’s no better place to take in the view, whatever the weather. Meanwhile, a dedicated cosy snug promises to keep little ones entertained just next door.
On balmy summer days, spill out onto the terrace for invigorating yoga sessions, tapas lunches and evening drinks. And as night draws in, retreat to one of the whimsical hanging chairs and warm your toes by the fire. The perfect spot for stargazing, take to the ocean-view hot tub for a moment of peace and quiet before bed. Comprised of four bedrooms, The Lookout is ideal for groups of family and friends.
With stunning vistas across Mawgan Porth headland and the surrounding countryside, bedroom two opens onto a private wraparound deck. The playful bunk room is next door and bedroom three features lofty ceilings and unique panelling, creating a feeling of character and space. Nestled beneath sloping eaves, the final bedroom takes the penthouse position on the second floor. Looking out across rolling hills, the family bathroom features a magnificent freestanding bath.
Not far from the beach and on the edge of the South West Coast Path, spend salt-kissed days exploring the rugged North Cornwall coastline. If relaxation is on the cards, indulge in a pampering session at the acclaimed Scarlet and Bedruthan spas, set on the opposite headland. For laid back dining, head to one of Mawgan Porth’s beachside cafés or try out the locals’ favourite – Retorrick Mill. The foodie havens of Watergate Bay and Padstow are also just a quick drive away.

With a fresh and contemporary feel, the kitchen and dining room is a laid back hub with garden views. Featuring a sleek kitchen island and dining table, there’s plenty of space for socialising while music plays through the SONOS speaker and industrial style light fittings hang overhead. A Krups coffee machine and Breville four berth toaster make for easy breakfast preparations, while the Rangemaster cooker and Neff microwave ensure dinner is taken care of. Subtly tucked away behind cream cupboards, two larder fridges and a Neff dishwasher complete the kitchen and sliding patio lead onto the garden.
Living Area
Subtly split into zones for fun and relaxation, embrace the bohemian lifestyle with a swing in the hanging chair or sink into a sumptuous sofa as a Netflix series plays on the Sony Smart TV. An expanse of bi-fold glass doors opens out onto the decked terrace, welcoming in the view across Mawgan Porth Beach. Come night-time, with your favourite album playing through the Alexa-enabled SONOS speaker, cosy up beside the wood burner or take to the telescope for a spot of stargazing above the sea.
Terrace
Accessed through the bi-fold doors in the lounge, the glass-fronted terrace invites sociable meals with a view. A large outdoor dining table seats up to eight guests, while a duo of rattan sofas are perfect for catching up over evening drinks.
Snug
A rustic-inspired hideaway designed for cosy nights in, the snug looks onto the terrace and rolling hills beyond. Featuring a crackling log burner, a bold blue sofa and Cornish slate underfoot, it’s a riot of texture and warmth. With Netflix, Sky and a Blu-ray player, the Sony Smart TV sits in front of a soft knit bean bag while overhead, eye catching wooden panelling commands the room in rich earthy tones.

A gorgeous king size room with sea and beach views, this relaxing space features soft pink interiors, a wall mounted flat screen Smart TV with Netflix and Sky, plus its own private terrace. A spacious dressing area sits tucked around the corner and provides hanging space in abundance. Brave the chill on crisp, cold mornings and tiptoe out onto the private terrace to soak up views across the beach, or sunbathe the afternoon away on a sun lounger. Accented by grey geometric tiles, the spacious en-suite features a walk-in shower with waterfall head.
Bedroom Three with En-suite
With a zip and link bed providing the option of a super king or twins, bedroom three enjoys rippling views across the Cornish countryside. A subtle Aztec design weaves its way through the interiors, while a flat screen Smart TV sits nestled against the wall, complete with Sky and Netflix. On either side of the bed, a dressing room and en-suite are cleverly concealed, and both flooded with light from the Velux above. The en-suite benefits from a walk-in shower and unique textured sink, with muted cream tiles bringing an air of sophistication.

Garden
With a sea-view terrace to the front and an elevated lawn to the side of the house, there’s plenty of outdoor space for groups to spread out in. Peel back the sliding doors for breezy summer lunches cooked on the gas barbeque, take a seat at the dining table on the terrace, or host family picnics on the grass after a dip in the hot tub. After sandy days at the beach, there’s a handy outdoor shower in the courtyard at the front of the house.
Parking
The undercover parking bays provide enough space to park up to two cars at The Lookout, while a socket suited to electric car charging is located closeby in the log store. If you're heading down to Mawgan Porth Beach, we'd recommend driving rather than walking as the narrow roads aren't necessarily pedestrian-friendly.
Hot Tub
Tucked into a quiet corner of the terrace, the cedar clad hot tub looks out across Mawgan Porth. With country views to one side and sprawling beach vistas to the other, bubble away the evenings after long walks on the beach.

The Lookout was just like the photos and we couldn't fault the property - overall, we were very happy with our experience with Perfect Stays.
”We rented The Hideout along with The Lookout for a three-generation family holiday to celebrate some special birthdays and anniversaries: an 18th, 21st and 80st birthday, and a Pearl and Diamond wedding anniversary.
The properties were perfect for us, the views are stunning and the properties themselves have everything you need for a comfortable holiday. Unfortunately, the weather was not kind to us with 60mph wind for two days, but even that gave dramatic views of the coastline.
We made very good use of the pool room, and the cinema room is spectacular. We would have liked to enjoy the outside of the properties but there's nothing you can do about the English weather! Thank you to Perfect Stays for helping to organise 80th birthday cakes for our arrival, they were delicious! We had Sunday lunch at The Kitchen by the beach, it was excellent and we were looked after very well. It's always hard with 14 people but they did such a good job we returned later in the week for an evening meal that was again very good. A very memorable and enjoyable holiday with lots of laughs :)
”A wonderful holiday at The Lookout in Mawgan Porth. The property is stunning, lots of light and space and wonderful views from which ever room you are in. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The team at Perfect Stays were extremely helpful before and during our stay making it easy for us to enjoy our time in Cornwall. Thank you again to all at Perfect Stays and to the owners of this lovely property. We will definitely be back.
”Beautiful home for a week's stay. The Lookout proved to be the perfect place for our family All the rooms were lovely the views amazing and all the little touches plus full on laundry room fab !! We had the best week with all the family and celebrations. The chef Perfect Stays helped me secure was amazing, the food to die for, and Mawgan Porth itself was a delight and your property was just the 'perfect stay'.
”Superb stay with family in this gem of a property in the delightful Mawgan Porth. The house was exactly as described but not until you arrive to appreciate the fantastic views - both of land and sea. The house is also really well equipped to deal with a two year old grandchild!
”We had a wonderful time at The Lookout in Mawgan Porth. The property is stunning. Just amazing to wake up to those views and the internal decor is beautiful. It had everything we could possibly need. The maintenance team were absolutely lovely and so helpful. We had a problem with the hot tub at one point and the guy came straight over and sorted it for us. We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely book again.
”The Lookout is a very special place! To us it feels like a home from home. We wake up happy and relaxed. We have made some lovely memories that we will cherish as a family forever. I think Mum and Dad have fallen in love with Mawgan Porth too! We will see you next year. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
”We have had a fantastic week! The Lookout has been done beautifully and we thought Mawgan Porth was lovely. What we thought was going to be a rainy week turned into warm and sunny, mostly. Fifteen at Watergate Bay and Blue Tomato in Rock are a must!
”Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and beautiful house. It exceeded our expectations and is well equipped with beautiful furnishings. The beach and views are stunning and we can't wait to come back.
”Thank you for a fabulous holiday - the house is so beautiful and had everything we wanted. The views are breathtaking. We would highly recommend The Lookout - such a wonderful place. As soon as we get home we will definitely book again for next year - but will probably make it two weeks! Thank you once again, it's a holiday we won't forget.
”It's a wonderful place, lovely views and very relaxing. Great beach for children and dogs. Would certainly recommend The Lookout. Many thanks.
”We had an absolutely sensational stay at The Lookout in Mawgan Porth. Not only was the property absolutely perfect but the service from Perfect Stays was outstanding.
