Sitting above the banks of the Camel Estuary, this dog-friendly haven is the perfect base for those longing to explore Rock. Recently renovated to the highest standard, savour stunning coastal vistas from the balcony as turquoise waters provide an unforgettable holiday backdrop.
Trehayl’s design has been carefully considered to make the most of those incredible views, with the living, dining and kitchen areas located on the first floor. Edged by expansive glass doors, the open plan living space leads onto a large terrace, complete with bar seating and a sumptuous corner sofa. Overlooking the Camel Estuary and Padstow, raise a glass of Cornish bubbly as sailing boats glide past.
Four stylish bedrooms are tucked away on the ground floor. Styled in hot pink and blue, pull back the master bedroom’s bi-fold doors and watch the ever-changing tides from the comfort of your king sized bed. Bedroom two also includes a king sized bed and opens onto the ground floor terrace. Featuring twin beds, bedroom three looks out across the swimming pool, and families will love the two bunk beds in bedroom four.
With a private, heated outdoor pool hidden at the back of the house (April - October), enjoy an early morning dip before breakfast on the terrace. Or, relax under balmy summer skies whilst the children splash about in the shallows and views across the estuary are never too far away.
Trehayl’s location is unrivalled in its proximity to Rock’s renowned restaurants, cafés and shops. Perfect for watersports enthusiasts and foodies, sail and paddleboard by day and then hop on the water taxi to the gourmet town of Padstow by night. Walkers, sunbathers, surfers and dogs will also love the nearby Rock Beach and Daymer Bay.

Open Plan Kitchen and Dining Room
With bi-fold doors and windows across two walls, an expanse of azure water provides a picture-perfect backdrop to this open plan space. The sleek kitchen is finished in contemporary gloss red units and stainless steel detailing, while a trio of statement lights and four bar stools surround the central island. Very well equipped, there’s a Nespresso coffee machine, wine cooler, dishwasher, Gaggenau electric induction hob, oven and microwave, and large Samsung fridge-freezer with a water dispenser.
Enjoy hearty summer lunches around the dining table before spilling out onto the terrace for sunset drinks. The SONOS speaker and Smart TV will keep everyone entertained.

Living Room
Sumptuous and inviting, the living room combines vibrant colours with classic details. On warm days, throw back the bi-fold doors and let the estuary breeze fill the room. As the evenings draw in, curl up beside the cast iron wood burner to watch a film on the Smart TV, with Sky HD and Blu-ray.

Other than the many gorgeous beaches nearby, there are plenty of alternatives for children to enjoy. The Camel Creek Adventure Park and Dairyland Farm World are perfect for the little ones to meet and feed the animals before running around in the indoor play area to let off some steam. Younger children will relish rainy days spent at the charming Macdonald’s Farm near Porthcothan. And for history enthusiasts, we’d recommend a day trip to the mythical Tintagel Castle, which is about 35 minutes away by car.
Beaches and watersports
The dog friendly Rock Beach runs alongside the Camel Estuary and has stunning views across Padstow. Just around the coastal path is the beautiful Daymer Bay and the popular surfing beach of Polzeath is also just a short drive away. Let your skin reap the benefits of the natural and organic skincare range, before leaving feeling completely refreshed and renewed.

”We had a fabulous week and have put our name down to book again next year!
”The house I stayed in Rock, Cornwall is truly amazing! Besides an amazing view of Fisherman's Bay, the house was complete and we were not missing any appliances. Everything was there! And many, many towels and that was very nice, having dry towels available in large quantities for the pool. The staff at Perfect Stays is very attentive and was very nice to us.
”Brilliant service from everyone involved and Trehayl a lovely property - perfect for a family holiday in this area. Perfect.
”We have used Perfect Stays many times when staying in Cornwall. Nothing is too much trouble from arranging dog sitting and local taxi firms to small requests for extra items at the house. I have always found them to be very friendly and responsive and very knowledgeable about the local area.
”Thank you so much and appreciate all your help whilst at Trehayl, first class.
”Many thanks for another fantastic week at Trehayl - it's the family highlight of the year, and they are already asking me if I can contact you about next year!
”We had an amazing week at Trehayl. The property is superb, as is the pool and the views of the Camel Estuary are truly beautiful. There is nothing to say about this property other than it's outstanding in every respect and we will return without hesitation. The service from Perfect Stays and the courtesy call was as good as ever and our overall rating of the staff, the service and the property is 10 out of 10.
”Perfect Stays is exactly the right name. Just back from a week in Cornwall organised by Perfect Stays. The property was everything they said it would be and more, and the service from Perfect Stays was first class. Everything was so good we booked for next year whilst we were there. Well done everybody and many thanks. Look forward to seeing you in 2021.
”The house we stayed at in Rock was amazing and the communication with Perfect Stays was well organised and friendly. We were impressed by the concierge service that was included. Lindsay looked after us extremely well and was most helpful sourcing dog sitters / restaurants and a masseuse to visit us. We will definitely be using Perfect Stays in the future.
