  • Elevated sea views
  • Wood burner
  • Suntrap balcony
  • Bi-fold doors into the garden
  • Ground floor bedrooms
  • Short walk into St Mawes

Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on Cornwall’s Roseland Peninsula, Cornerways is a luxurious, dog-friendly home-from-home. An ode to its setting on the south coast, every room shares a gentle blue-green colour palette, which is mirrored by the sparkling ocean views that lie beyond.

Wonderfully sociable, the ground floor kitchen and dining area brings everyone together, with bi-fold doors opening directly onto the suntrap terrace and garden. Complete with a large kitchen island, bar seating and dining table, prepare memorable holiday suppers, reconnect with friends over glasses of wine, and watch little ones relish time spent with cousins and friends.

Finished in deep blues and muted pinks, the first floor living area is a jaw-dropping space, which is positioned to make the most of its far-reaching views over St Mawes. The wood burner and SONOS speaker make the perfect pair when it’s time for evening relaxation, and the glass-fronted balcony welcomes balmy sunset drinks with a view.

Four beautiful bedrooms sleep eight guests across two floors; two have their own en-suites and the other two share a ‘Jack and Jill’ bathroom. All enjoying tranquil sea or garden views, the bedrooms are brought to life with splashes of colour, bespoke wooden panelling, and luxurious touches of velvet, sheepskin and rattan.

Less than a 10 minute walk from St Mawes Harbour and the nearby bakeries, cafés and beach, Cornerways provides an idyllic setting for exploring the Roseland Peninsula with family, friends and your canine companion. Tire out children with a walk around St Mawes Castle, or take nets down to the pontoon for an afternoon crabbing in the summer sun. There’s a handful of pubs nearby for laid back lunches, while The Idle Rocks and Driftwood Restaurant offer two exquisite fine dining options for celebratory suppers. Explore vibrant Falmouth with a cruise across the River Fal on the King Harry Ferry, find stunning walks at the National Trust’s Trelissick Garden, or pick up fresh cinnamon buns each morning from Da Bara Bakery on the harbourfront.

More about theGround Floor

Kitchen and Dining Area

Beautifully spacious and social, the kitchen and dining area blends coastal influences with modern farmhouse finishes. The light blue cabinetry is complemented by slate grey fixtures and white marble countertops, while rustic scaffold shelving ties everything together. Bespoke recessed lighting adds to the home’s contemporary design, and floor-to-ceiling bi-fold doors mean the space can easily extend onto the terrace and garden.

The kitchen features a Nespresso Krups coffee machine and AEG appliances, including an integrated fridge-freezer, dishwasher, combi-oven and induction hob. The farmhouse sink sits directly in front of the window, so views over the surrounding coast are never too far away. Meanwhile, the large kitchen island houses a wine cooler and three bar stools, ready for pre-dinner drinks.

The dining area enjoys lots of natural sunlight, thanks to the bi-fold doors on two sides. When it’s warm, pull them back and enjoy summer suppers on the ash table, which seats eight. Once evening falls, wrap up in blankets and savour nightcaps on the terrace.

Just next to the kitchen, the utility area is equipped with an additional sink and storage, as well as a Beko washing machine and tumble dryer.

Please note: guests with pacemakers should avoid using the induction hob as this can interfere with the device.

Bedroom Two with ‘Jack and Jill’ Bathroom

The first of the ground floor bedrooms, this king size room has soft blue and cream interiors. A feature wood paneled wall frames the bed beautifully, while the artwork pays homage to the local seascape and beaches. A mango armchair, clothes rail and chest of drawers provide ample storage for your belongings.

Sharing with bedroom four, the fresh and neutral ‘Jack and Jill’ bathroom features a waterfall shower and a heated towel rail.

Bedroom Three with En-suite

Made up of delicate blues and crisp white linens, this bedroom is also situated on the ground floor and enjoys a private en-suite shower room. Light and spacious, bedroom three provides a welcome abode after days spent exploring the local area. Reenergise under the waterfall shower and curl up in the king size bed with a cup of tea and a good book.

Bedroom Four with ‘Jack and Jill’ Bathroom

Enjoying tranquil garden views, this twin room is finished in dark blues and muted oranges. Perfect for younger guests or friends, the two single beds sit in front of teal wood paneling and intricate sea life illustrations. There’s a Smart LG television and an Xbox Series X for movie and games nights and plenty of drawer and hanging space for storing your holiday wardrobe.

The ‘Jack and Jill’ bathroom is shared with bedroom two. Featuring a waterfall shower and heated towel rail, refresh each morning before pulling on fluffy robes and savouring a coffee.

More about theFirst Floor

Living Area

Made up of gentle blues and pinks, find sanctuary in Cornerways’ sea-view living area. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors open directly onto the terrace, and frame stunning views over the surrounding coastline. A large deep blue sofa sits atop herringbone flooring, with a dove grey two-seater and armchairs closeby. A wood burner is a welcome addition for winter stays, and there’s an LG Smart TV ready to stream favourite films and series late into the evening. This room also benefits from a SONOS speaker, so opt for a relaxing playlist and retire to the terrace as the day slips away.

Terrace

Enjoying beautiful views over glistening waters, the elevated first floor terrace provides a peaceful spot to soak up the warmth of the summer sun. There’s grey rattan armchairs and sofas to sink into, and low tables ready for drinks and nibbles.

Master Bedroom with En-suite

Sitting under sloping ceilings, the master bedroom is spacious and inviting. Dark blue accents complement the natural wood and rattan furniture, while oatmeal carpets sit underfoot. There’s a king size bed ready for restful nights sleep, before awakening to sparkling sea views on the horizon.

Owing to the size of the room, there’s also a dressing table, chest of drawers and a large walk-in wardrobe with plenty of hanging space. And awaiting behind a sliding oak door is the bright and airy en-suite. Finished in elegant whites and greys, this bathroom features an indulgent bathtub and walk-in waterfall shower.

We booked a week at Cornerways in St Mawes with Perfect Stays having very little knowledge of what to expect - however, if you're after a completely relaxing break then this is for you! St Mawes is a five minute walk away, but the sea and boats can be seen from the front room and suntrap terrace. Overall, its a clean and comfortable home, ideal for unwinding and Perfect Stays were brilliant in making sure we were happy.

The Dale Family, Lincolnshire | Trustpilot - August 2024

The property was clean, practical and had all that's necessary for a coastal  holiday - dog friendly too!

The Dumbill Family, Cheshire | Trustpilot - June 2024

Well-appointed accommodation with views across the estuary of St. Mawes. The kitchen was well stocked and the rooms were spacious and comfortable with plenty of areas for people to find their own space. Very clean with good-sized bedrooms and bathrooms.

The Kibblewhite Family, Surrey - June 2024

We booked Cornerways in St Mawes. The house was stunning, wonderfully comfortable and well-equipped. Perfect Stays offered a fantastic service from start to finish. Thank you!

The Trainor Family, London | Google - May 2024

A really stunning property and the letting company service was fantastic, especially the Inclusive Concierge.
