Sennen Cove Beach is hugely popular among those looking to have fun in the sea, be it to swim, surf or bodyboard. Lifeguards serve the beach during the summer months.
The coastal path from Sennen Cove to Land’s End is approximately a mile and a half long and takes around 40 minutes to complete. The trail comprises moderately steep sections and has plenty of places to enjoy refreshments at either end.
You’ll find plenty of activities to get involved in on the beach. Both Sennen Surf Centre and Sennen Smart Surf School offer the chance to learn how to start carving waves. The village is also home to Sennen Cove Lifeboat Station, which welcomes the public inside to its viewing platform framing the large all-weather lifeboat. There are several gift shops and galleries dotted along the main road, along with plenty of places to eat, drink and grab a takeaway. The coastal walk from Sennen Cove to Land’s End is among the most iconic trails in Cornwall; follow the 1.5 mile trail that winds up the cliffs from the car park just along from the harbour.

Sennen Cove Beach has a seasonal dog ban; however, you don’t have to look far to find a stretch of coast that welcomes canine companions throughout the year. Gwynver Beach, neighbouring Sennen, is lesser known and therefore far quieter even during peak season. While access to the beach is a little more of a scramble than that for Sennen, Gwynver is a lovely spot that offers plenty of space and seclusion for your beloved pooch to let off steam.
